Dr Nicky Shaw PhD, BSc (Hons), ADipCBM, CAB, ABTC-CAB

Hi, I’m Dr Nicky Shaw, a registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist (CAB), dog trainer, puppy school teacher, animal welfare scientist, and proud Full Member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC) and Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC). This means that I have been formally assessed and demonstrated the highest possible universal standards for the role of a CAB. I am now also a CAB with the RSPCA.

I have been in practice for 11 years, with a first-class honours degree in Applied Animal Behaviour from the University of Portsmouth and a PhD in dog & puppy cognitive enrichment, behaviour, and welfare from the University of Winchester.

I am passionate about promoting effective communication, cooperation, and enjoyable partnerships between dogs, puppies, and their owners. Since starting my career working on referral from the legendary Kynance Vets (now Medivet Kensington) I have trained thousands of puppies and dogs, running classes and providing private training and consultations in the Chelsea, Kensington and surrounding areas of London. I am a 100% force-free, rewards- and evidence-based trainer.

For behaviour consultations I now work on referral from multiple practices and any vet can refer to me.
